A new design, user-friendly navigation and useful functions provide easy access to educational resources and research results. At its core, the new website is characterized by six offerings.
A sophisticated search function makes it possible to find information based on topics and keywords. Research projects and publications are searched, as well as various archives for Waldorf teachers with a user account. Thanks to a filter option, the search results can be narrowed down precisely. In the secured user area, which is primarily aimed at teachers, students, lecturers and researchers at Waldorf institutions, visitors to the website have access to a wide range of exclusive content. For example, the archives of the Medizinisch-Pädagogische Konferenz (MPK), Erziehungskunst and the Lehrerrundbrief are open to them. The latter two journals are published by the Bund der Freien Waldorfschulen, the MPK by the von Tessin Center for Health and Education. The archives can be used to trace the development of Waldorf education and its practice over the decades. The secured area also contains the entire (vertical) curriculum of all subjects and all class levels. It serves as a guide for teachers and offers detailed explanations of the learning objectives, content and occasionally also references to methods. The solution booklets, which provide correct sample solutions for tasks and exercises in the corresponding teaching materials, are reserved exclusively for teachers.
The website offers a streaming portal, which provides a very special offer from the Pädagogische Forschungsstelle with the film series for teaching and research. Six films provide a direct insight into the continuous learning development of students in a class community, from year one to year eight. «By revising the website, we want to make valuable material more easily accessible to Waldorf teachers and lecturers than before and thus support them in their work», says Petra Drammeh from the Pädagogische Forschungsstelle, who was responsible for the relaunch and curriculum development together with her colleague Alexander Hassenstein.
